What We Build in Gates
A gate is the one part of a fence that moves, so we build it differently. Every wood gate gets a steel tube frame and every vinyl gate has metal built in. We match aluminum and chain link gates to the fence around them. Driveway gates get the heaviest frames and posts we build.

Walk gates
Four and five foot widths are the usual size, with a latch and hinges to match.
Double drive gates
Driveway gates in eight, ten and twelve foot doubles, with a drop rod to hold one side.
Wood gates
Steel frame, wood nailers for the boards, a latch and a striker bar.
Strong posts
Wide or heavy gates hang on steel pipe posts so they do not sag.
Sloped ground
Special hinges let a gate swing up a slope without digging out the ground.

How wide can a gate be?
Walk gates are usually four or five feet. Driveway gates, including double drive gates, run eight, ten or twelve feet. Tell us what has to fit through and we will size it.
Can you hang a gate on a sloped yard?
Yes. We use hinges that let the gate swing up a slope without digging out the ground, and we plan the posts for it.
Can you repair or replace a gate on my fence?
Yes. We repair and replace gates as well as build new ones. Call or text 803-609-9760 and tell us what is wrong.
What is a drop rod?
A steel rod that drops into the ground to hold one side of a double gate closed.
Do pool gates need special hardware?
Yes. Every pool gate gets self closing hinges and a latch that releases from the top. See our pool fences.
