About This Fence
In a newer subdivision the yard is often bare when the fence goes in: fresh sod, a new concrete walkway and a house with little around it. This Irmo job is a good example. The cap and trim wood fence encloses the back and the sides, runs along the walkway and meets the house at the corners. A walk gate sits where the walkway reaches the backyard, so the path runs straight into the yard.
Cap and trim means a top cap and a trim board give the fence a cleaner, framed look. A wood gate like this one hangs on a steel tube frame, so it swings square and can be adjusted as the wood moves. If your neighborhood has an HOA, tell us early. We regularly build fences that have to clear one first, and we plan the schedule around the approval. Wood fences come with a one year workmanship warranty and a tune up visit in the first year.
